North Connor Area Service Autumn 2023
On St Luke’s Day, Wednesday 18th October 2023, Ballintoy Parish Church hosted the Mothers Union North Connor Autumn Area Service. The Branch were delighted to dedicate their new Ballintoy & Dunseverick Mothers’ Union banner.
North Connor Area Chairperson, Roslyn Graham read the epistle and All Ireland President, June Butler read the Gospel. Archdeacon Stephen McBride the All Ireland Chaplain encouraged us with his address about St Luke.
Ballintoy and Dunseverick were delighted to join ranks with all the other beautiful banners from North Connor Mothers’ Union Branches.
The new banner, made by the Ballintoy and Dunseverick Members, depicts the cross and MU logo on one side and salmon and barley sheaf on the other reflecting their farming and fishing communities, the harvests of the land and sea and God’s providence.
The very talented Rev Louise Stewart who attended the service is pictured with the 4 banners she has made for Armoy & Drumtullagh, Ramoan & Culfeightrin, Ballymoney Finvoy & Rasharkin and Agherton branches who are all part of the North Connor area.
